Doors to Restore

By Scott Boylston

The Jones Street House has many gifts to give, and thanks to the patience of Debra and Chuck Caldwell, the owners of the house, we have time to harvest them with small volunteer crews, and then identify their most constructive usage. The door and frame being removed above is one of 7 that were picked up today by the Savannah Restore, the Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity’s retail outlet.

Our volunteers were careful to remove the entire door frames during the deconstruction, ensuring a higher retail price for Restore, and keeping all of the doors’ elements in productive use.
