This is What We Mean: Our New Video on Building Material Re-Use

Way back in 2009, we were invited to share our ideas with the team leading the redevelopment of what was then called Strathmore Estates. As our background page explains, this was a downtrodden neighborhood on Savannah’s East side comprised of WW2 era housing. And our organization was born through the innovative projects we co-developed on site.

Now that the City of Savannah Department of Housing, CHSA, and Mercy Housing have led the successful redevelopment of the entire Savannah Gardens site with the expertise of Thomas + Hutton and NorSouth Construction, we’ve put together a video that tells the story of our involvement in the innovative building material re-use initiatives that were carried out. Please give it a look!

A very special thank you to Darlien Morales and Kirutungo Productions for their amazing story telling and film production work!
